Applied-for gTLD string
- Provide the applied-for gTLD string. If an IDN, provide the U-label.
tui
14A. If applying for an IDN, provide the A-label (beginning with "xn--").
14B. If an IDN, provide the meaning, or restatement of the string in English, that is, a description of the literal meaning of the string in the opinion of the applicant.
14C1. If an IDN, provide the language of the label (in English).
14C2. If an IDN, provide the language of the label (as referenced by ISO-639-1).
14D1. If an IDN, provide the script of the label (in English).
14D2. If an IDN, provide the script of the label (as referenced by ISO 15924).
14E. If an IDN, list all code points contained in the U-label according to Unicode form.
15A. If an IDN, upload IDN tables for the proposed registry. An IDN table must include:
the applied-for gTLD string relevant to the tables,
the script or language designator (as defined in BCP 47),
table version number,
effective date (DD Month YYYY), and
contact name, email address, and phone number.
Submission of IDN tables in a standards-based format is encouraged.
15B. Describe the process used for development of the IDN tables submitted, including consultations and sources used.
15C. List any variants to the applied-for gTLD string according to the relevant IDN tables.
- Describe the applicant's efforts to ensure that there are no known operational or rendering problems concerning the applied-for gTLD string. If such issues are known, describe steps that will be taken to mitigate these issues in software and other applications.
We have carefully examined (including S.W.O.R.D test) the applied-for string “TUI” and found that deployment of it would not cause adverse operational, rendering, or general user-confusion due to visual similarity with existing TLDs⁄ISO3166 lists⁄ICANN reserved list of names & list of ineligible strings. The string consists entirely of ASCII letters and is a valid hostname having at least three and less than 63 characters, the ASCII Label is therefore in compliance with the string requirements set forth in the Applicant Guidebook (Applicant Guidebook, page 64, section: 2.2.1.3.2 “String Requirements”) and with all technical standards such as but not limited to RFC 1035, RFC 2181, RFC 952, RFC 1123, and RFC 3696.
Although the applied for string is short and pure ASCII characters the applicant is aware of its responsibility to seek to mitigate and solve inter alia such issues, as discussed on the “TLD Universal Acceptance” session at the Costa Rica ICANN Meeting on Wed, 14 March 2012 (http:⁄⁄costarica43.icann.org⁄meetings⁄sanjose2012⁄presentation-tld-universal-acceptance-14mar12-en.pdf):
- Validity checks of TLDs based on either a hard coded list (may not be updated with all new gTLDs) or on a length check (i.e. maximum three characters)
- Name conversion in various applications and browsers. Based on wrong definitions or outdated lists of TLDs, some applications may not convert this new gTLD to links
- User acceptance. Some websites⁄applications may refuse user acceptance of users entering a new gTLD not accepted by the website⁄application
- Email clients validating on length on TLDs on by applying an outdated list of TLDs may also cause problems for this new gTLD, as valid email addresses may not be accepted
- Websites and Search Engines such as, but not limited to, Google, Yahoo! may refuse to offer services such as advertising, if they validate email addresses and valid domain names based on outdated definitions of TLDs, or simply refuse to add new gTLDs to their lists
- Mobile browsers may also not be updating their lists of valid TLDs, as live DNS look ups, may be considered costly or in adequate by the providers
Actions to mitigate or solve these issues:
Even though the TLD is no longer than 3 characters, it is understood that some issues concerning usage of the TLD in online forms, browsers and applications will exist. We take the full responsibility for any such issues and will work towards enabling general global acceptance for TLDs, not just with this TLD but all others as well. We will ensure that all known websites expecting to use the TLD will be communicated with concerning this issue and we will make all our own online forms available to accept all ICANN TLDs per the IANA list. We will work with ICANN in its on-going effort on this subject both for IDN TLDs and ASCII TLDs.
Second Level IDN specific issues are addressed in our response to Question 44.
- OPTIONAL.
Provide a representation of the label according to the International Phonetic Alphabet (http://www.langsci.ucl.ac.uk/ipa/).
18A. Describe the mission/purpose of your proposed gTLD.
TUI AG is currently Europe’s leading travel group, with over 30 million customers trusting the company with their holiday and travel planning needs each year. TUI is committed to providing specialty travel experiences to clients around the globe, whether their intended destinations are exotic locales or relaxing retreats near to home. TUI posted a 2010⁄2011 turnover of over EUR 17.5 billion, with underlying operating earnings of over EUR 600 million, and the company is proud to boast a network of roughly 73,700 employees.
TUI’s predecessor, the Preussag company, was founded as a coal-mining interest in 1924, and later became an important player in German industry. In 1997, Preussag acquired Hapag Lloyd AG, one of Germany’s greatest transport and travel companies, with a large selection of aircraft, cruise ships, and travel agencies. Realizing the opportunities available in this new market sector, the company sold most of its non-travel-related assets, and began dedicating itself to the provision of outstanding travel planning services. In 2002, the company officially adopted the TUI AG name, and since that time has continued to build its world-class reputation.
The company has used its TUI trade name in commerce since the 1970s, and also began registering trademarks for the name at the same time. Now TUI AG is the registered owner of numerous TUI trademarks worldwide.
- TUI’s Business Sectors
TUI is Europe’s leading travel company providing tour operators, retail shops, online portals, airlines and incoming services for over 30 million customers. The TUI company comprises three corporate divisions – TUI Travel, TUI Hotels & Resorts, and TUI Cruises. A summary of the specialty services provided by each division is outlined below.
A.1 TUI Travel
The TUI Travel division employs over 53,000 people and operates in 31 markets worldwide, providing customized vacation experiences. Packages are grouped under four main headings, in order to deliver a wide range of experiences for the company’s clients. These groups include: Mainstream, Accommodation & Destinations, Specialist & Activity and Emerging Markets.
The Mainstream sector partners with well-known affiliate brands to bring customers the recognized services they have come to know and trust. Accommodation and Destinations provides over 21.4M room-nights per year. The Specialist and Activity division provides opportunities for both education and adventure packages, as well as sports and entertainment. Finally, the Emerging Markets section brings travelers of new source markets including Russia, India, China and Brazil an opportunity to experience TUI products.
A.2 TUI Hotels and Resorts
With 249 hotels and 160,000 beds in approximately 30 countries, TUI Hotels & Resorts is the largest holiday hotelier in Europe. Combined with the division’s extensive network of booking specialists across the globe, TUI Hotels and Resorts is ready to meet the needs of the company’s multi-million client base.
A.3 TUI Cruises
TUI Cruises, with services provided by Hapag-Lloyd Kreuzfahrten GmbH and TUI Cruises GmbH, offers travel packages tailored to the needs of a wide range of clients. A number of specialty themes and events, such as golfing, family fun and music adventures, are designed around cruise packages.
- The Mission and Purpose of the “.TUI” space
TUI intends to use the new TLD space to provide a comprehensive communications platform, serving its broad network of corporate affiliates, partners, agents, and clients. Targeted development and use of the “.TUI” space will support the company’s strategic business and marketing objectives. The space will enable brand empowerment, self-determined domain allocation, and an extension of TUI’s brand protection and control through the creation of a unique TLD architecture.
Through the “.TUI” TLD, the company will be able to showcase its vast array of services, promote its affiliates, and provide up-to-date information to its Internet visitors. The space will act as a first point of contact for many first-time visitors, who may be unfamiliar with TUI’s many offerings as well as an efficient guide for longstanding users interested in reconnecting with the company. Additionally, the TLD is intended to serve as a source of trusted information for millions of Internet users worldwide, who have come to rely on TUI’s services, standards of quality, and dependable reputation.
B.1 Structure of “.TUI”
TUI will manage the new space under a single-registrant policy, with all second-level registrations held directly by the company itself. TUI will carefully manage the selection of all domains, to ensure ease of navigation within the space. The company intends to create an intuitive, inviting domain network, where visitors can easily locate the content and services sought. Links will take customers from general information pages to specific content, and provide easy navigation to connected corporate partners’ micro-sites. Individual users may also create individual travel portals to track their voyages and share stories via social media. Besides obvious brand, brand architecture or product hierarchy given structures a part of the “.TUI” space logic develops organically out of generic search focuses of the users.
General sites, such as “hotels.TUI”, “resorts.TUI” or “honeymoon.TUI” will provide compiled information about the services offered by the company at large, with detailed descriptions and package information offered via clearly-labeled links.
It is anticipated that trusted affiliates will have the opportunity to license domain name registrations within the “.TUI” space. Under these second-level registrations, such as “affiliate.TUI”, corporate partners will have the opportunity to create “micro-sites” to advertise their services offered in connection with TUI products, and to reinforce their TUI partnership. Accordingly, clients seeking branded services offered in connection with TUI will find information about these destinations and travel packages under the appropriate, easy-to-locate “.TUI” domain.
B.2 Benefits of “.TUI”
Accordingly, TUI believes that use of the new TLD will benefit the company, its customers, and general Internet users alike. TUI anticipates increasing the amount of information and interactive customer content available on the new TUI websites. Therefore, the company believes the TLD will experience increased traffic and user interest, as potential customers and existing clients become familiar with the space. TUI plans to develop a high level of trust among Internet users, with the branded nature of the space acting as a “seal of quality” providing security and authenticity, and increasing the reputation of the TUI brand.
It is expected that TUI’s clients, affiliates and visitors will benefit from the new TLD, where they can be assured of the company’s diligent monitoring efforts and privacy protection. As the space will operate under a single-registrant model, TUI will be able to control the content displayed on “.TUI” sites and, accordingly, consumers will experience safer, more trustworthy interactions.
As mentioned above, the TLD will follow a single-registrant model, wherein all registrations within the space are held by TUI itself, and affiliated entities may apply to license “.TUI” domains. The Legal Department of TUI shall review every license request and, in its sole discretion, may approve registrations and grant licenses on a case-by-case basis. Only TUI’s affiliates will be allowed to license “.TUI” domains, and in every case the registrant of record for all domains shall be TUI. In all cases, TUI shall monitor the use of all “.TUI” domain names to ensure that the content of the associated websites remains current and appropriate to the TLD space.
18B. How do you expect that your proposed gTLD will benefit registrants, Internet users, and others?
How do you expect that your proposed gTLD will benefit registrants, Internet users, and others?
TUI anticipates that the new TLD will benefit both the company and its many clients across the globe, by providing a greatly-enhancing information delivery platform, and enabling the company to showcase its many corporate partnerships with leading international brands. Clients will be able to quickly locate the services that are best suited to their needs, and will be provided with a clean, safe and wide-ranging network of websites to explore and discover. The new “.TUI” TLD space will offer TUI a unique, brand and service based search platform, through which the company will integrate its clients and customers from around the world in one comprehensive and easy-to-use location. Clients and casual Internet visitors will be able to easily navigate through the TLD’s network of thematic and generic-keyword second level registrations, in order to quickly locate the goods, services and packages that most interest them. The “.TUI” space is intended to operate as an inter-connected nexus of information, to cater to the needs of its many discerning travel clients worldwide.
Additionally, TUI’s roughly 30 million clients will greatly benefit from the anticipated direct intuitive navigation approach to be adopted across the new TLD space. Simply entering the “.TUI” TLD will immediately take the Internet user into the company’s secure, monitored space, where the individual user will be able to quickly and easily navigate to their desired online content.
The “.TUI” space will combine a self-directed, consistent architecture and well-organized domain space hierarchy (in which TUI main pages, brand pages, sub-brand pages, project pages, image-campaign pages, partner microsites, individual user pages and sites keyed to specific special offers are consistently displayed on sites using similar, intuitive domain names), with an organic flow-through of information across various types of “.TUI” subdomain sites. Users entering the site will have an unparalleled opportunity to interact with the company and its affiliates, and to customize their own Internet experiences. By providing themed domain names such as ʺscuba.TUI,” ʺromantic.TUI” or ʺwinetasting.TUI,” which will enable clients to intuitively locate particular services and tailored offerings related to their personal travel wishes, expectations and interests from across the company’s spectrum of products, TUI will be able to offer its guests individualized online experiences.
- i) What is the goal of your proposed gTLD in terms of areas of specialty, service levels, or reputation?
One goal of the TLD is to create a trustworthy, safe and secure location where TUI can communicate with its network of cruise travelers, hotel and leisure clients, travel package seekers, and casual Internet visitors. TUI believes that by properly stewarding its space, and providing the information its various users are seeking in a convenient central location, it will increase user trust, loyalty and confidence.
All “.TUI” domain name registrations will incorporate the Domain Name Registration and Use Policy for “.TUI,” which outlines the acceptable use guidelines for the space. A draft version of this Policy is provided in the answer to question 18(c) below. Such Policy will be further incorporated into any license agreement made between TUI and any affiliated entities, such as corporate partners, that may from time to time be authorized to license the use of “.TUI” domain names. A licensed domain name may be revoked by TUI at any time if the licensee does not comply with the acceptable use requirements contained in the Policy, or any other contractual requirements as may be established in the particular license agreement.
Additionally, TUI will implement an easy-to-use internal hierarchy of domain name registrations within the space in order to highlight the company’s specialties, reputation, and value-added services. Some examples of these anticipated registrations may include: “travelleader.TUI,” “skitravel.TUI,” “tuinews.TUI,” “ticket.TUI,” “specialbrands.TUI,” “specialoffer.TUI,” “tophotels.TUI,” “shop.TUI,” “vips.TUI,” TUI’s affiliated partner brands will have designated locations within the space, to showcase the companies’ joint offerings and enable clients to easily locate the brand-name services they seek.
- ii) What do you anticipate your proposed gTLD will add to the current space, in terms of competition, differentiation, or innovation?
The “.TUI” TLD will provide an outstanding alternative to the currently-available TLD spaces, in that it will serve as an easy-to-locate, centralized source of information. Internet users will quickly come to recognize the space as an authentic location to research and interact with the TUI company, which will set the TLD apart from other online spaces. Within the new TLD, the company will be able to easily organize information into a well-integrated, user-friendly format, simplifying navigation for routine and first-time visitors alike. The structured “.TUI” brand presence on the Internet will distinguish the company from its competitors in the travel sector, and set it apart as the clear industry leader.
TUI clients will have the opportunity to share their online experiences, and discuss their upcoming travel plans with friends and connections around the world, without ever leaving the world of TUI. The space intends to fully inter-operate with a multitude of social media outlets (including Facebook.com), thus enabling clients and Internet users to chat, share and socialize without any intermediate login steps required.
The “.TUI” TLD will further enable the company in its research and development efforts, by providing a wealth of accessible domain names from which to choose. Today, it is often difficult to find a relevant, available domain name for the launch of a new product, or an innovative marketing campaign, from existing registration providers. Even if one is found, often pricing is prohibitive because the domain name may only be available on the secondary market. Often, new domains must be purchased from third parties and closely managed as corporate assets. These expenses and complications, which can hinder companies and, in some cases, delay the release of innovative new products and services to the public, can be dramatically reduced over time. Furthermore, an ample supply of immediately available, inexpensive domain names relevant to TUI and its activities are likely to pay dividends in additional ways which are currently difficult to foresee.
Furthermore, the proposed “.TUI” TLD will be a “clean space” for Internet users, clients and affiliates seeking information about the company, its award-winning travel offerings, interactive user content, the products and services offered in conjunction with TUI’s well-known corporate partners, and other user-oriented content. Since TUI will have control over all of the registrations in the space, the risk of abusive use of these domain names is greatly mitigated. It is anticipated there would be no opportunity for bad actors to impersonate authorized corporate agents, perpetrate fraud, or engage in dangerous and illegal Internet scams such as phishing or pharming. Internet users will find only authentic, TUI-authorized content within the “.TUI” space, providing them with a level of comfort and safety which the current gTLD landscape cannot give them. The “.TUI” pages will connect Internet users to authorized, safe sites, helping them to find relevant resources and information.
Additionally, TUI anticipates that by becoming one of the first companies in its industry sector to secure a “.BRAND” space, it will signal to its clients the innovative strength of the company.
iii) What goals does your proposed gTLD have in terms of user experience?
The TLD ultimately is intended to function as TUI’s online centralized information and services platform, which will serve as a company’s initial and primary interface with its millions of travel service clients, customers, and casual Internet visitors. It is intended to function with leading-edge technologies and business practices, ensuring a trustworthy and positive user experience.
The goal is to use TUI’s existing online infrastructure, services and marketing to encourage Internet users to interact online with the company. Specifically, TUI intends for users to perceive the TLD as a trustworthy source of its online information, products, ongoing research and results, service locations, and detailed data concerning its various facilities. Accordingly, TUI will use advanced technical and policy measures to ensure the security of online transactions and communications, and to ensure that domain names in the TLD are only used for authorized purposes. TUI intends to provide a safe and legitimate Internet space, enhancing user experience by mitigating security-associated risks.
The TLD will reinforce the ideals of the TUI corporation. Therefore, domains within the TLD will only be used for purposes authorized by TUI, and the company will closely monitor the content of any and all licensed domains. Domain usage guidelines will be established and enforced in order to safeguard the Internet user experience and the reputation of the space. In addition, the TLD will provide an easily navigable and predictable domain name space.
The Internet user can expect, when entering the “.TUI” TLD, to find authentic, up-to-date information displayed in an intuitive, easy-to-navigate fashion. As stated above, second-level registrations will be carefully selected by TUI, and their content routinely monitored to ensure that Internet users receive the maximum benefit when utilizing the “.TUI” space.
Thus, the “.TUI” space is designed to provide an unparalleled user experience in terms of stability, safety, and facile user interface.
- iv) Provide a complete description of TUI’s intended registration policies in support of the goals listed above.
It is envisaged that TUI will be the sole registrant of domain names within the TLD, which will ensure that such domain names only are used for purposes authorized by TUI in its online brand promotion and customer service efforts. A draft version of the anticipated Domain Name Registration and Use Policy for the “.TUI” space is provided at the end of the answer to question 18(c).
- v) Will your proposed gTLD impose any measures for protecting the privacy or confidential information of registrants or users?
TUI intends for users to perceive the TLD as a unique, trustworthy source of its online information and services. User trust is enhanced when said users are confident that they are in fact interacting with the website and service they are intending to interact with, and that their private or confidential information is securely protected. TUI intends to use advanced technical and policy measures to reasonably ensure the security of online transactions and communications, and to reasonably ensure that domain names in the TLD are only used for authorized purposes. TUI intends to provide a safe and legitimate Internet space, enhancing user experience by mitigating security-associated risks.
TUI intends to deploy DNSSEC and to comply with all of the other policies and practices required by ICANN in the Registry Agreement and⁄or via any Consensus Policy. TUI will also comply with all applicable laws and regulations relating to Internet security and the privacy of users’ confidential information.
TUI is committed to making the “.TUI” space fully compliant with all published best practices guidelines, including the APWG Anti-Phishing Best Practices for Registrars, and the SSAC docs: SAC 007, 025, 028, 035, 038, 040 (available at: http:⁄⁄www.icann.org⁄en⁄committees⁄security⁄ssac-documents.htm). For further information concerning privacy protections and data security within the “.TUI” space, please refer to the answers contained in section 23, 26, 28 and 29 below.
- vi) Describe whether and in what ways outreach and communications will help to achieve your projected benefits.
By featuring the new TLD in its upcoming branding initiatives, marketing, and advertising, TUI believes Internet users will become familiar with the new space. It anticipates using its new TLD on various marketing and promotional materials, encouraging users to interact with them on the new websites. Given the anticipated benefits of the new space and its effective navigational structure, TUI believes Internet users will readily adopt the TLD and look forward to visiting the space regularly.
Naturally, communication is vital to the success of any online location. Accordingly, TUI will showcase and feature the new space in its publicity materials, and provide links to the new “.TUI” content from its numerous webpages available across the Internet in existing TLD spaces. TUI believes that with time, publicity, and word-of-mouth communications, Internet users will soon become familiar with the space.
Additionally, noting that many other large trademark owners appear to be considering the adoption of “.BRAND” TLDs, TUI believes that within a short time consumers will become accustomed to searching for these sponsored, brand-owned and managed spaces in which to conduct their online transactions.
18C. What operating rules will you adopt to eliminate or minimize social costs (e.g., time or financial resource costs, as well as various types of consumer vulnerabilities)? What other steps will you take to minimize negative consequences/costs imposed upon consumers?
The TLD ultimately is intended to function as a TUI’s online centralized branding and communications platform, and to serve as a “seal of quality” for the information provided therein. It is intended to function with leading-edge technologies to ensure a trustworthy and positive user experience. TUI intends to use advanced technical and policy measures to ensure the security and reliability of online transactions and communications taking place on domains within the TLD, and to ensure that domain names in the TLD are only used for authorized purposes.
Naturally, as TUI will be the registrant of all domain names within the space, it will have full control over the content displayed on “.TUI” websites. TUI intends to provide a safe and trustworthy Internet space, enhancing user experience by mitigating security-associated risks.
The TLD is designed to reinforce the corporate ideals of the TUI company, and to provide an online forum by which the company may communicate with its broad-ranging network of cruise travelers, hotel and leisure clients, travel package seekers, and casual Internet visitors. Therefore, domains within the TLD will only be used for purposes authorized by TUI. Domain usage guidelines will be implemented and enforced to constantly ensure the integrity of users’ “.TUI” experience and the reputation of the TLD.
All domain name registrations within the “.TUI” space shall be held by TUI. TUI may, in its sole discretion, elect to license domain name registrations to affiliated entities, such as affiliated companies or, to further the business interests of the company. All domain name registrations and license agreements shall incorporate the usage requirements set out in the Domain Name Registration and Usage Policy for ”.TUI,” a draft version of which is provided at the end of this section. TUI intends that no domain name in the “.TUI” space shall be used in a manner which:
- infringes any other third parties rights
- is in breach with any applicable laws, government rules or requirements
or for the purposes of:
- undertaking any illegal or fraudulent actions, including spam or phishing activities, or
- defaming TUI or its businesses, affiliates, employees, etc.
The “.TUI” domain space shall be used for the benefit of the TUI company. TUI will have the right to revoke any domain name license agreement should it deem such action appropriate for the benefit of TUI and its business interests.
The content and use of all registered “.TUI” domain names will be monitored by TUI on an ongoing basis, and compliance with the contractual restrictions and guidelines will be enforced. Violations of any restrictions, guidelines or other contractual conditions may result in termination of the relevant domain name license.
TUI will implement a Sunrise period of 30 days for the purpose of complying with ICANN requirements. However, because TUI will be the sole registrant within this space, there will be no other registrants eligible to reserve or register a domain during this period. TUI will develop and implement an appropriate Sunrise Dispute Resolution Policy (SDRP), containing the elements specified by ICANN, for the resolution of any disputes which might in theory arise during this period.
During the initial launch period, for no less than 60 days, a Trademark Claims Services system will be in place as required by ICANN. During this period there will be a notice sent to the sole registrant of any “.TUI” domain name, prior to its registration, should such domain name constitute an identical match of a mark registered in the Trademark Clearinghouse. Moreover the right owner or owners, as recorded in the Trademark Clearinghouse, will be informed once any such domain name has been registered following this event.
- i) How will multiple applications for a particular domain name be resolved, for example, by auction or on a first-come⁄first-serve basis?
All domain name registrations within the “.TUI” space will be held by TUI itself. TUI may, in its sole discretion, elect to license the use of “.TUI” domain names to affiliated entities, such as corporate partners, but TUI shall be the registrant of record for all domain names within the TLD space. Only entities affiliated with TUI, such as corporate partners, will be eligible to license the use of “.TUI” domain names, and such licensees shall be required to use the domains for the purposes specified by TUI under the terms of their relevant license agreements. TUI will maintain, at all times, control over the content and use of the domains within the new TLD, and will remain the sole registrant of record.
Every request for a new “.TUI” domain name registration and licence agreement would be first approved, in every instance, by the Legal Department of TUI. The contact individual from the Legal Department will check for compliance with the applicable Policy, and review the request for potential conflicts with the rights of third parties, before forwarding the request to the IT resource. The IT resource will check for DNS compliance and will register the requested domain name through an ICANN-accredited registrar, which will then be integrated with TUI’s registry service provider, KsRegistry GmbH.
This single-registrant system will ensure that the TLD remains a tightly controlled, safe space for Internet users, and will ensure that the network of registrations remains well-organized. These protections will naturally inure to the benefit of Internet users interested in the high-quality travel products and services described within in the “.TUI” space.
- ii) Explain any cost benefits for registrants you intend to implement (e.g., advantageous pricing, introductory discounts, bulk registration discounts).
As outlined above, all domain name registrations in the TLD space will be held by the TUI itself and pricing (if any) of domain registrations will be a matter of company policy.
iii) Do you intend to make contractual commitments to registrants regarding the magnitude of price escalation?
As noted above, TUI will be the sole holder of all domain name registrations in the TLD. Accordingly, TUI does not intend to make any commitments regarding the magnitude of price escalation.
A full text draft version of the anticipated Domain Name Registration and Usage Policy for “.TUI” is provided below.
DRAFT Domain Name Registration and Use Policy for “.TUI”
- General principles
- Purpose
The “.TUI” Top Level Domain (ʺTLDʺ) established by and for the use of TUI. TUI will, with the advice and assistance of the Registry Service Provider KsRegistry GmbH and relevant governmental bodies, develop, maintain and enforce effective TLD management strategies to manage the “.TUI” space.
This Policy is intended to be updated and revised regularly to reflect the needs of TUI. The current version of this Policy will be made publicly available at: [insert website when determined].
The registration of domain names within the “.TUI” TLD shall be restricted to TUI itself, thus following a single-registrant model. TUI may, in its sole discretion, elect to license registrations within this space to affiliated entities, such as corporate partners.
- Registration Policy
As indicated above, the “.TUI” space will follow a single-registrant model. Thus, TUI shall be the only entity eligible to register domain names within the “.TUI” TLD.
- Domain Allocation Rules
- String Requirements and Reserved Names
String Requirements
